Hello Wayne and team:

On behalf of Whitewater Ontario, I wanted to extend my congratulations to you and the rest of the organizing committee for an excellent job in making the second annual King of Clubs such an overwhelming success. With well over 100 participants and representatives from 8 provincial clubs, it was a tribute to your leadership and organizational skills that made this an event to remember. With a full program both on and off the water, the events clearly brought the paddling community together - albeit with some friendly competition and participants who gave it their all for their individual clubs. It was also an event that brought together people relatively new to the sport alongside those who are veteran whitewater paddlers. You and your organizing committee have every reason to be proud of your accomplishment and Whitewater Ontario looks forward to continuing our support of this event and helping to achieve your goals for next year.

In addition I would like to thank all of the clubs which participated and extend our appreciation for being part of this stellar event which is only in its second year. It must have quite the sight to see close to 100 boats paddling on the Ottawa engaging in some terrific whitewater action in the spirit of fun, comraderie, and love of the sport. Congratulations also go to the Petawawa River Rats and their dramatic victory in the final moments of the rope throw competition.
