The Ottawa River Runners, which operates the Pumphouse/Tailrace whitewater course has long had a dream of building a clubhouse. We have NCC's permission, architectural plans, some money in the bank, and now all we need is the rest of the money! We are working on trying to make the Pumphouse more playboater friendly too, and a clubhouse there would benefit all of us.

We have entered a competition for a $50K grant and your votes will make a difference in whether we can secure this grant. There are 17 days of voting left and we need your votes every day.

Subject: Your Voting Requested for $50K Grant. Fwd: Team Up Foundation Fun Voting - Opens Today!

Well everyone, once again we are entering a Grant Competition, for a chance to get $50,000 towards our Clubhouse. This contest is being run by the Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment Team Up Foundation Fund and they will be awarding four $50K grants to the 4 winners. There are currently about 70 organizations who have entered the competition and I believe we have a very good chance at making it to the finals, if we can garner support like we did last time in the Aviva contest.

You can (AND PLEASE DO) vote every day for the next 20 days STARTING TODAY. Please see the instructions below. You will need to register to vote.

Please, please encourage your friends, family, and workmates to vote for us, and use all the social media you can to get us lots of votes.

A few of us have worked hard to put together the application and I want to especially thank Tim Cutts for putting together the promotional video, which you will see on the TUF site.

I want to also thank Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC) for partnering with us on this grant application.

1) Find our project "Ottawa River Runners Community Paddling Clubhouse..." (or use the first direct link above)
2) Register your email address to vote and vote today
3) Revisit the site everyday until Feb 20th to vote 20 times in total
4) Top 20 will move on to be reviewed by TUF and 10 will be selected for the next round of voting
5) Final round of public voting occurs Mar7-16 to pick the top 4
6) Winners are revealed Mar 20th

I believe the way to win this is to create an exponential wave of voting by finding a few friends ASAP to vote and getting them in turn to solicit others to vote, etc.. And vote EVERY DAY.
