Paddlefest ~ Saturday May 29th at Mooney's Bay, Ottawa...RAIN OR SHINE!

The Ottawa Paddlefest is an opportunity to learn how to paddle, pick up new skills, and test out different boats. It is a collaborative celebration of all forms of paddling that will bring community together to engage in learning and fun. This one day family event has something for all ages and skill levels – whether you’re a beginner or seasoned paddler – the host of informative on-water and on-land sessions will be certain to engage all who come to participate. There will be plenty of demo canoes and kayaks from our exhibitors as well – so come test drive a few!

Come refine your skills at a clinic with Becky or Paul Mason in solo or tandem white water canoe; get some practice time and pick up tips in a sea kayak; learn to roll a white water kayak; or you could stay dry and learn to prepare for an extended canoe trip from the renowned auther and seasoned paddler Kevin Callan ; or get some tips on getting the family out paddling from Rolf Kraiker, author of Cradle to Canoe. There will be opportunities for all.

There will also be a 'Paddling Gear Swap' so if you are interested in selling some used gear, rent a table!
