Directions:

Marmora is the traditional meeting place before running shuttle.
 

Put-in: N 44 34.775   W 77 40.894
From Marmora, go north 1.1km to Centre Line Rd. Turn right.Travel 8.7km to Shanick Rd (dirt road), veer left. Travel 3.7km to put-in underneath hydro lines. River is a short walk down the hill.
Take-out (bridge): N 44 34.775  W 77 40.895
There are two take-outs.
Bridge: From Marmora, north 1.1km to Centre Line Rd. Turn right. Travel 6.9km to Beaver Creek Rd, turn left. Travel 1.8km to Bridge.

Fiddlars: (This take-out involves a 3km flatwater paddle to a .5km class 3 rapid that is fun at high water levels.) From Marmora, north 1.1km to Centre Line Rd. Turn right. Tavel 6.9km to Beaver Creek Rd, turn left. Travel 1km to Fiddlars Rd, turn left. Travel to end of road.



Description:

Beaver creek is a fairly long run, with a mix of short class 4's, some nice long, narrow class 3's, and a mix of easier rapids and flatwater. The first drop is one of the hardest on the river.


Flow Information:

Low: 10 cms
Ideal: 22 cms and above - lots of water, good surf waves
High: none.  Routinely peaks in the 40's. Low bridges may become a hazard above this

Season:
Mid-April to Mid May. Ice on the flats usually prevents paddling before the beginning of April. In heavy snow years, Beaver creek may run into June, and very occasionally after a big rainfall.
